The Great Green Wall Accelerator was created to better coordinate the efforts of all stakeholders. The accelerator is geared towards the achievement of 5 pillars of action and a common vision for 2030: the restoration of 100 million of hectares of land, the creation of 10 million jobs and the sequestration of 250 million tons of carbon in the Great Green Wall countries.
All those who are building the mosaic of initiatives that make up the Great Green Wall are welcome to get involved.
By the end of 2021, an online platform will be released to help connect project implementors, scientists, entrepreneurs, local authority representatives, investors and philanthropists.
A readiness program will help develop a pipeline of bankable projects in GGW countries at multiple levels.
